hi there. well, we just got back from the 2nd opinion. our dna tests have not yet come back, but the 2nd endo does also feel like joey has cah. this endo feels like joey’s adrenal glands have sort of "shut down" which would explain why his 17ohps are so low, despite his VERY low dose of cortef. also, joey is not growing and is overweight for a 6 month old. his thoughts were to just give it a month or so, redraw labs and then see if the adrenals dont "kick in": bringing his 17ohps up as well as his height. toni, i remember you saying you had similar issues. i think you said that you all actually took your son off the cortef all together. do you think that if you had not done that, your son’s adrenals would have still started producing the androgens again??? do you think any of this makes sense??? thanks!
