You must have felt compelled to post because there is someone I know very well that has been questioning whether to pray or not.  Whether prayer really works, and wondering if our lives are supposedly already planned out, what difference does it make to pray?  SOMEONE must have wanted you to post it.  When I logged on this morning and read your post it was a peaceful read for me.  What got me was the ending, the part about the weight of a prayer.  That one line spoke volumes to me and helped to remind me that prayer is significant and powerful.  Whether or not the story is true, remember that by following your "gut" instinct to post it here for "whatever" reason, it had a strong impact on someone.

That someone was me.
