Surgery questions

A bit of background, I have a 91/2 month old daughter, she was diagnosed with SWCAH (Salt Wasting Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia) and Ambiguous Genitalia.   Nine months ago my world turned upside down and from then on I have been trying to find out everything I could about my daughters condition.  What I haven’t been able to find out (other then some tech. talk from doctors) is at what age should I look into surgery for her, what should I expect from the reconstructive surgery, and about how long is the recovery time?  And anything else like: if there are longterm side effects or repeated surgeries or personal experiences would be helpful.  Thank you for any kind of information that would be helpful in my understanding.
