I always hate it that it can take so long to see the doctor -- though most times we are seen within 30 to 45 min of our appointed time.

Concerning the doctor -- it sounds like he didn’t have the slightest idea of who he was seeing. This could be because he is older or just because he has always been that way. If possible, I would find a new doctor. All he needed to do is read the chart before he came into the room -- which he obviously didn’t do.

My daughter’s ped endo and all of the nurses KNOW her and they know her without looking at the chart (though there is one nurse who is always mixing her up with a little girl from Korea -- Olivia is from China :-)  The clinic that we go to (Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St. Louis) is associated with St. Louis Univ Med School and they see LOTS of patients.
