My daughter also has swcah. Her surgery is scheduled for August. She will be 18 months old. Some doctors do the surgery earlier some later. It is really a choice that the parents make. Some decide not to do it until their daughter can have a say in what is done. We saw our surgeon today actually. The plan for our daughter is to have a clitoral reduction and a vaginoplasty. Her dr says we should only be in the hospital a couple of days, depending on how she heals. He also told us that there should only be repeat surgeries in the case that her vagina is too far away from her urethra. Then in this case there will be repeat surgeries to bring it down a little at a time. So far the only thing we have been told about after the surgery is that she should not be allowed to play with any "ride-on" toys. I’m sure there will be more "don’ts" later on.
