re: Leaving your CAH child with an older sibling

I have left my Granddaughter with babysitters and Family many times . I always leave her medicine and emergency letters and shot and phone number where I can be reached in an emergency. My first instruction is to call 911 and then me.... if she has symptoms of crisis. I have them posted on the fridge......... I also make sure Maritza is feeling ok before we leave and call several times while we are out. I think leaving your CAH child with sitters or family is a personal choice and what you FEEL COMFORTABLE with. If you KNOW your daughter is mature and can handle this type of situation, then use her to sit your son. Maybe tell a neighbor what you are doing and where you are going just in case SHE needs someone. This would probably make her feel more at ease also. You can’t let CAH rule your life or your childs. Make decisions that you would for a healthy child.... only exercise SOME caution . Soon he will be offended that someone is watching him at all! LOL Good Luck
