TWINS! Congratulations! Did they have a newborn screening test for CAH ? They sound like they were premies as almost all twins can be some time. First you need to take a deep breath. I would ask why the long wait. Although it took a week for us to get solid results for my daughter. But 3 weeks, that is incredibly too long for you to put your life on hold. I bet you feel like you haven’t taken a breath since they first suspected something. They should NOT keep you waiting. I would be on the phone with them "pounding down their doors". You have come to the right place for support. I am sure other’s will post. I have a daughter that is almost 7. She has the classic CAH, so I am no big help to you. But just know we were all where you are at one point of our child’s diagnosis. It isn’t easy but take one hour at a time. That and know that YOU are in charge. Go to the CARES foundation to read up and get yourself familiar with non classic CAH. Their site can be found in this website. OR go to the MAGIC foundation. So you can ask the right questions when you call the doctors. I found in the begining, my fear was out of not knowing what was next. I educated myself to death about it. I told my endocrinologist that by the time my daughter was grown I would know this as well as he did if not more. I would also ask your daughter to be checked out just to be safe. Take one day at a time. God bless.Laura
