I had a CVS last year with our second son. I was very happy with the choice.

I can’t remember the exact timing details anymore, but I am sure you have them at your fingertips. The CVS could be done so much earlier in the pregnancy, and it was not that difficult of a process. The docs were able to do a "FISH?" and find out his sex within a few days.

At the time (and again I can’t remember all the details) I checked the rates of miscarriage out quite closely. Seems the most problems with CVS were years ago when they had regular docs (or residents?) doing them. The big key, if you go with a CVS, is to get a doc who does alot of them. The risks go way down with doc. experience.
