I have a 9 yr old SWCAH son.  I also have a second cousin with CAH.  Her mother and my mother were first cousins.  My mothers mother and her mothers father were siblings.  There have also been two other infant deaths in my family.  One being my first cousin who is older than I.  His father and my mother are siblings.  It is my understanding that  the cause of his death was unknown.  I also have a first cousin who lost an infant.  I don’t know the circumstances as he is somewhat estranged from the family.  I do find myself wondering about both those deaths.

I definitely think your niece should discuss this with her doctor.
