Have any of your children had the whooping cough/pertussis vaccine?  Any difficulty with it?  Just wondering because my daughter never did get it before she started school and her pediatrician at the time signed a waiver for the school system because of it citing medical reasons (taking steroids) for not giving it.  Ther has been a recent upswing in the number of whooping cough cases in the schools - particularly at the middle and high school level.  Just wondering.
