I now recall that when I called to schedule my son’s first appointment with Dr New they thought I was calling about another child with the same name as him who apparently also has CAH.  My son has a pretty common name but the thing is that our family name has one origin and everyone who has this name is somehow related.  On the other hand, as mentioned above, my husband has a first cousin from his mother’s side with CAH, so I guess as long as both our entire families won’t go for genetic testing it will be impossible to know where our boo boos come from.
