I talked with Kadens endo today... He told me her lab results were excellent. Her 17OHP came back < 5.  I thought this was low. He said that normal was 3 - 20, but is that not for a child without CAH? I was under the impression that around 1000 was the normal for a child with CAH. Maybe I’m wrong. I asked if she was being oversuppressed...and he said maybe. He said when she comes back in 3 months he will do a growth horomone stimulation test. Then she may have to be put on HGH. He doesn’t think her current dose of cortef is too high. He said it is a good "standard" dose and she will grow into it. I think that is bull. We are going to be looking in to getting a second opinion, but I wanted to get any advice I could from everyone here. Thanks in advance.

Oh, by the way..Kaden is 16 mo. old SWCAH. She is currently on 7.5 mg cortef, split up 3 X daily, and .1 mg florinef 2X daily.
