The letter is more of an instruction sheet to inform her of the necessary routine that is needed in treating CAH. I see nothing wrong with it and as a Grandmother I would welcome any info about the child that I could be given. CAH or not routine is essential in caring for children. If she gets her routine out of whack it will only make it harder for you when you get home. I mentioned before that I took a three ring binder and made a complete notebook on my Granddaughters CAH and meds and times. I put a list of Doctors phone numbers /emergency letters copies of immunization other hospital related illness and a small booklet about CAH and instruction on how to give a shot of the solucortef. I included a recent photograph/ copies of health insurance numbers ect. This way if there is an emergency I just hand the administrators the notebook and stay with my Granddaughter. The back part of the book I gave a small summary of her personality  and behavior flags. Another page has her food likes and dislikes and how she likes certain food prepared. I also included our form of disciplining. I give this book to anyone that is caring for her for ANY length of time. Her pediatric Doctor suggested adding a few emergency forms already notarized in case of different sitters. This has worked very well for us and I feel very safe with it. When she went to visit her other Grandmother she said she used it very much and found it very helpful. Do not feel you will offend anyone concerning you childs health, You are the parent and you need to do...................... what you need to do ! Good Luck Cherry
