I know how scared and worried you probably are.  We always seem to take for granted that our children will be born "perfect" and when it doesn’t turn out that way it can be pretty scary at first.  My son was diagnosed with CAH at 2 weeks old and it turned our world upside down - at first.  The more I learned about CAH the more greatful I was that we found out he had it right away - that way the dr’s can monitor and reverse any of the symptoms that could have arisen if it wouldn’t have been diagnosed until later in his life.  What Jennifer said earlier is exactly right, God knows you can handle it.

It may take awhile for you to absorb the diagnosis and get over the shock of it.  But as time goes on you will learn more and realize that things could be so much worse.  My son is now 8 months old, he’s stronger than most kids and developing like he should be.  He’s crawling all around and getting into everything.  Daily medication is the only thing that reminds me that he has the CAH, other than that you would never know.  Feel free to email me anytime.  Things will get better!
