I’m very frustrated!  We just received my son’s levels (7 years old and SWCAH) and they are WAY off AGAIN!!!  He was in the hospital in Jan with appendicitis.  Since then, we haven’t been able to get his levels back down.  His 17ohp was over 13,000 in April.  The endo thought that his pituitary gland wasn’t functioning properly because of the illness and high dose steroids, so he put him on a 5 day course of dex on top of the cortef to try to get the pituitary working again.  Well, his levels are over 14,000 now, so that obviously didn’t work!  He is NOT acting like himself, has mild acne on his face and is MOODY MOODY MOODY!!!!  Any suggestions?  We go see the endo on Mon., but I want to be prepared.  Has anyone dealt with something like this?  How "at risk" is he being this "uncontrolled"?  I’m quite nervous!  I’m hoping this won’t end up with another hospital stay!!!!  Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
