We ended up with exactly 50 guests!!  This was a fantastic turn out but I sure hope I can reach out to more next year.  JuliaS, I’m so sorry we missed getting the word out to you.   Are you on the CARES mailing list?  Kelly sent out invitations for me as well as putting it in the CARES News Letter.  (Couldn’t have done it without you Kelly & Josh).

It brought tears to my eyes to see those who needed reassurance getting it from those who had it to give.  Everyone reached out to eachother sharing stories and lending a shoulder.  I couldn’t have been more proud to be a part of such a giving, caring and empathetic group of people.  My family and I are honored to call you all our friends.

Our children seemed to instantly bond and enjoy each other’s company.  Even thought their ages ranged from 3 months to 26 years old, there was always someone to talk to who had something in common.  This is ever apparent in the photos that we took.  We should be sending some out to you soon.

Thanks to you all for your willingness to drive the hours that you did to get here and I can only hope that you will join us again.  Many of you have asked that we do this again next year.  I will keep in touch with you and let you know how it goes.

Thank you all again for coming.  It is people like you who help to make such a difficult thing as CAH become a blessing.(;>)
