Dear Liz,

Thank you, you are very kind.  I did a memorial page for my daughter’s middle school year book in 2000.  I truly expected to see her graduate from high school and go to college.  The therapists I talk to I feel do not comprehend my loss.  I would hope this condition is one day not considered rare by pediatricians and the healthcare community will be better educated not only to this condition, but other chronic conditions not in the spotlight.  Legislature for stem cell research for parkinson’s,  alzheimer’s, etc. is fine, but let’s take care of our children first and take care of poverty striken children as well as doctors’ children.  Healthcare and education should be our right not a privilege.  Every single medication should be covered under insurance or SSI for these children I feel.
