JennHello there New Mom, I am also a "new mom(now 6 months old)" for the second time (each child is different) and I am still struggling with crying at night. His Ped just Monday told me that I should let him cry it out at night. I tried letting him cry for a half and hour and finally went in to check and he had rolled over and wedged himself in the corner of his crib. He was so ticked off at that, that I had to pick him up. He also wants to eat at night (still). He is a very hungry baby. I am posting something today regarding that.
I agree with what Laura has to say, you can’t spoil an infant by picking them up and there is a reason for crying otherwise they would be sleeping right?
My 4 year old slept through the night at 6 weeks and rarely woke up. I could put her to bed awake and she would fall asleep on her own. She is also a very independent little lady now, she HAS to do EVERYTHING herself. Maybe there’s a connection, hmmmm??? :-)
