SSI / Medical coverage

Does your state have a program that for children who "meet the listing" for disability but whose family income exceeds the SSI cutoff (Approx $40,000 for a 2 parent family with 2 children)? Massachusetts has such a program, Commonhealth, that can be very helpful to families who have inadequate insurance coverage especially if the child requires frequent appointments, tests and medications. Many other states have similar programs, including some that cover all children regardless of disability.

From my reading of the disability regulations, children with CAH, but no other medical complications (failure to thrive, developmental delays) are unlikely to demonstrate the functional limitations necessary to qualify for SSI benefits.
