I do not have CAH.... but my three year old Granddaughter does. I am raising her because her Mother passed away with cancer when she was five months old. We did not know what CAH was until she went into adrenal crisis and was in the intensive care for two weeks. While in there she developed compartment syndrome in her leg( blood transfusion leaked making her leg swell on the inside ) crushing all muscles and tissue. They thought they were going to have to amputate it! Anyway to make a long story short.....she was in a cast for a year and has had two surgeries and plastic surgery on her leg and will probably need more plastics done. While she was just learning to walk she would drag the cast everywhere she wanted to play. She would take her CAH medicine and meds for her leg and for infection . Many Doctors visits with pins and electrodes placed in open wounds to search for muscle movement. All of this plus losing Mommy and Daddy( dad did not know how to care for her) all in her first two years. She would still wake up EVERY morning with a smile on her face. I am 53.............. and I learned to be a fighter from my Granddaughter. I told myself no matter how dark my day seems........ there is light if you search for it. I come to this BOARD if I am up or if I am down. This is a blessing I was given when hard times came my way. NOW ................. The Blessing Torch is yours. You can carry it when needed and pass it to others. Life is great and we are all different,with our bodies, health, mentality, moods and love. But, we do have the common bond of spirituality, and we all row this  boat with the same oars........... and in the same direction . WELCOME ABOARD!
