It also has to do with checking on the growth of pubic hair and the monitoring of androgens besides the blood testing. Seeing and measuring before and during puberty for control and to study. This is a confusing thing for anyone to go through.

In the case of girls they also wanted to see how the surgical area was coming along over the years for example if the vaginal area was closing in. I know some that had to endure dialations but that isn’t everyone.

Sherry, how old is your child? maybe practices are changing in some places : )
