Dear Jennifer, I on the other hand have a teenager with SWCAH who has not done so well due to the fact that his body does not react to steroids as it should. He too HATES having CAH, he is pleased to hear that there are others like him who feel the same way. He dislikes the medical profession because they left it too long to do things about his levels, he lost height and yes he is bitter about a lot of things. He has had so many blood tests which are often useless as they take to long to get to the lab. He feels different because he cannot do the things he wants because he has CAH. I do not and never will consider CAH a blessing. Yes feel blessed that your child does well with it. My son’s case is more severe than others and this is this place to come to get support and comfort - this is what we are all here for. As you get older you learn that everyone has hang ups but they themselves are not dealing with living with this condition - you have the right to feel that way and are seeking reassurance. I admire you for that! Yes some will not like the negative things said but you cannot protect your children from the reality of life and what it sometimes deals. Keep posting! This is what this board is for - to give support to each other especially those who are growing up with the condition! All children are special - CAH or not! Take care, Sam
