Poem.

Hey,

I had to write a poem for school today about whatever I wanted. Something that about maturing or finding ones way. I chose to write about CAH, more or less. Feel free to read it, critize it too if you’d like. I am a poet, I’m used to it =)

The Unseen Disease

By: Jennifer A. Kilmartin

Walking day by day

With no one knowing what is in the way

I live like a normal teenager

With some unseen defects.

I live with an unseen disease

Sheltered.

Invisible.

Silent.

Without knowing it is around

Everything is looked at the same.

Does anyone know that I am “different”?

Probably not.

Does anyone know what affects me?

Not even a clue.

Living.

Dieing.

Existing.

Wanting.

Wanting to be free of this disease

Living to succeed in my dreams

To succeed in my life.

Dieing to see the real world.

Existing to be known.

Please let me know your thoughts about this poem.

Take Care,

Jennifer
