I always had a big appetite as a kid but as the one poster pointed out that you do have a choice about what you eat.

When I lost my appetite awhile back I knew that something was wrong but I pushed it aside. I’m estactic that my big aappetite came back last week after being MIA for two years.

I feel that this isn’t about limiting foods but picking and wanting to only eat foods that are good for the body and with taking cortisones (hydro, pred, dex) for life we have to watch that we get enough folate, calcium ... that may be depleted by the med. Other meds deplete things to so we aren’t special and I love the hydro because it plays a role in keeping me healthy but no med is perfect and one had to be aware that it may deplete other things that our bodies need to keep healthy too and we can adjust by monitoring it with blood tests, screening and eating better (more green veg) to gaurd against other health problems that are worse than CAH. I read that long term cortisone use may weaken the immune system which isn’t good if we’re not getting in enough foods into our bodies that are loaded with immune boosting nutrients.
