JudyWHow did you know that "her testosterone levels and stuff were off?". I’m still confused. What caused her to be diagnosed at 3 days old with CAH if you had to place phone calls to get the results for 4 days. In my sons case he was born at 4:45 pm on a Sunday night and at 7:00am Monday morning they told me I could go home. I didn’t leave until around 7:00pm Monday because the pediatrician would not allow my son to leave until he was 24 hrs old. Even at that he was upset because they like them to be 48 hrs old before leaving the hospital. We saw the doctor in his office for a routine follow up visit on Wednesday and at that time he indicted that my sons test showed CAH but that because it was done so early in life that it could have been wrong. Unfortunately when they redid the test and we got the results on Friday (2nd test still not even a week later) he still showed as having CAH. I guess my point is if you can get a false positive could it be possible to get a false negative? Maybe it’s worth requesting your pediatrician to redo the test.
Good Luck
Judy
