Jessica KSara,
I have a 8 month old SWCAH daughter, she is my second child. While I have not had to deal with a crisis yet, I was told that when one occurs you will know b/c your infant will be really tired & "out of it". Also, if you are not sure if she needs a stress dose & your endo is not a quick phone call away it is always best to error on the side of caution & give a stress dose. Getting a stress dose wont hurt, but not getting one can.
As for girls feeling different, well she’s only 8 months old so I have no insight. However, I was a tomboy BIG TIME as a child & wont be surprised if she or her sister are as well. I never wore a dress, played with the boys etc. I know that there is a lot of debate on this issue & my husband & I have decided that since there is no yes or no answer, we are not going to worry.
Do make sure your Endo gives you the Solu-cortef injectable. It’s scary to think that you may need it..but scarier to think you may need it & not have it. have the nurse sit down with you & your husband & show you how to give the shot. Also, look up on the cares foundation website..i think there are dirrections on how to give it somewhere on there. I carry a print out of how to give the shot with the solu-cortef and syringe.
Enjoy your daughter!
Jess
