SherryMy daughter who has SWCAH is now 17 months old and we still haven’t received a prescription of Solu Cortef from her endo. It really irks me that I had to find out about it from this board, and not the endo. When I did ask him about it, he told me there is a shortage and he can’t get it. Plus, he says she will always be with us and we won’t need it.
Well since she has been born, my daughter has fractured her right ankle at 10 months of age...no solu cortef injection.
She was sick at the beginning of March this year with a temperature of 103...no solu cortef injection.
She was sick at the end of March after her surgery, because she ended up picking up the Rota Virus (bad stomach and diahrea flu) while recovering in the hospital....no Solu Cortef injection.
Just recently she had a very high temperature of 104.7, was very "out of it" and vomited once before we took her to the ER....no Solu Cortef injection.
I am getting very very tired of hearing that we don’t need Solu Cortef. I don’t know what else to say to her endo to have him actually make the effort to give us the prescription! We will be having another baby here in 5 weeks or less and my daughter will have to stay with Gramma for one night (if needed) and I am paranoid that she will need the injection and we won’t have it! Grrrrr
How did you all get your endo’s to give you the prescriptions? I need help on this one.
