re: Endo Still making excuses about Solu Cortef Prescription

Yikes!! We lost a 23 mo. old SW son from a bad virus (this was over 13 yrs ago now - when having solu-cortef was NOT the norm): I really believe that if he’d have had the injection, we might still have him today. With our 7 yr old SW daughter, it’s been totally different: our endo made sure we had the solu-cortef, and a nurse taught us both how and when to administer it, BEFORE we took her home from the hospital!! It’s THAT important. All of the situations you described could have been very serious. For your endo to say that you won’t need the solu-cortef just because your child is with you all the time, is ridiculous. I’m in agreeance with everyone else: do what you need to, to get some solu-cortef and learn how to use it. And seriously condsider finding a new endo - this one obviously has no clue about the urgency of emergency treatment. God’s blessings.
