Stories like this amaze me.  Our endos could not stress strongly enough how important it was for us to have our solucortef. . . even after our daughter was diagnosed at 40 hours old they would not release us from the hospital until we had all of our prescriptions including the solucortef. 

I agree with several of the postings above that it really shouldn’t matter if there is a shortage or not ( I’ve not had a problem) in concerning receiving a prescription - they just write it and we do the leg work!
