re: Timing of Labs

We were told from day one that it made a difference.  Unfortunately sometimes our endo only sees patients in the afternoon.  Most of the time we see the endo at 9am so I head into early, get his blood drawn and then he gets his meds.  He is usually within an hour late for getting them.  If we have an afternoon appointment like we did on Wed then I gave him his morning meds at 6:15 and he had his blood drawn at 11:30 and was able to get his regular afternoon dose at 12:30.  It’s not ideal but at least he hadn’t just gotten his meds right before his blood work.  The doctor does ask the times of the meds and the time the blood was drawn so that she can take that into account when reviewing his results.
