So sorry to hear your sad news -- I know how devastating it can be for children to lose such a source of unconditional love ... Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Charlie has crossed that rainbow bridge, and is now playing happily with my daughter’s beloved Maggie (a three year old calico Maine Coon cat who died in her arms of a previously undiagnosed heart condition). She waited a year before feeling ready to love another cat -- she has now had Puff ( a chubby yellow tabby) for 7 years !
