I have seen reference books like that as well for all sorts of disorders & I always wondered how in the world did they get permission? It’s one thing if it’s an adult & it’s your choice, but a child? I don’t get that and my heart just aches for the kids in those pictures. I know that if you are learning about any disorder you need to see it to be able to understand it...but still. I have had two residents in the room with my daughter, however there was only a very short time spent looking at her genital area....the endocrinologist was doing his normal head to toe assessment..he examined her genitals & moved on, just like her ears, her heart etc. He did not linger or let her be on display & I am thankful ofor him for that. Also, both times the resident was very interested in CAH & spent most of their time talking about CAH & not the genital issue...I guess her endo. knows how to pick residents or something.Jessica K
