re: Night time dosing

I remember oh to well the lack of sleep we got the first year of my sons life for the same reason.  It got to be a family issue for us.  We all need a great deal of sleep and we were very grumpy during the day as a result of his schedule.  Also as he approached a year old he gave us trouble taking the last dose, which for us was 11:00pm.  I discussed this with the endo and explained my concerns.  We agreed to try giving it at bed time which at the time was 7:30pm.  He now gets it typically around 8:30 (with the understanding no later than 11:00 but to be as consistent as possible).  He is no 9 and is a SW and has never had any trouble getting it earlier.  Believe me the added sleep ,especially for me as I get up around 4 - 4:30 am, has been a life saver.

I can tell you though that I do toy with the idea of the circadian dosing as my son does struggle with his weight a bit and the more I read about it on this site the more interested I become.  My hesitation is definitely selfish as I am concerned about the late night dosing.  I am also concerned about the waking of my son during the night.  He does not do well with that.  I know myself when I have interrupted sleep I am not good the next day.  I wonder about the longterm affects of interrupted sleep every night.
