It’s my understanding that cortisol inhibits growth hormone (which is at it’s peak during the night).  Therefore, the nighttime dose should be smaller?  Having said that, we still give equal doses to our 2 month old SW son @ 6 a.m., 2 p.m., and 10 p.m.  Our endo said that we may in fact switch to circadian doses later on...
