ToniaI was induced at 38 weeks with our 2nd daughter. It was mostly because she had already been diagnosed with cah and my placenta was calcifying and aging rapidly due to the dex therapy I was on. I can’t answer most of your questions but I can tell you I was extremely pleased with being induced. I checked in and started the pitocin at 6 am and had her at 8:15. When my first daughter was born it was a nightmare. They quickly whisked her to the children’s hospital by mobile ICU because she was in crisis and I ended up discharging myself as soon as my epidural wore off and my husband could help me walk out of the hospital. It was wonderful on our second birth to have everyone present to take care of her needs right there. It was truly a gift. If you are induced they can schedule the appropriate doctors to be there when the new baby is born and it will lessen the chaos. We had our ob (obviously), perinatologist, pediatrician, endo, urologist and neonatologist. Don’t be nervous ;) everything will be fine. I know easier said than done. Best wishes to you with the new addition! Please let us know when new bebe arrives!
Blessings,
Tonia
