This sounds alot like my daughter (7 yr old SWCAH). She is on a low dose of cortef (2.5mg 3 times per day). Her 17OHP levels do vary but the endo really concentrates on the androgen levels. Any time meds have been raised due to what appeared higher 17OHP she ended up oversuppressed by the next visit. In fact 17OHP is not even tested every 3 months, just plasma renin and aldosterione. She has been able to maintain great growth and very little illness on the low cortef.
