Sister in law pregnant should she and baby be tested?
Aug. 16th, 2004   6:28pm

My husband and I are both carriers of the CAH gene, our first child and girl was born March 2003 with SWCAH, and our second child due Sept 15 doesn’t have CAH nor is he a carrier.

She is his younger sister and just found out this morning that she is pregnant. We were told that since we are both carriers it’s on both sides of our families, possbily one if not both of our parents are also carriers.

Should I get her in touch with our Genetic Counselor to have her blood drawn to check for the gene? The father is a no show so it will just be based on her draw.
