If anyone is a carrier, they must get it from one of their parents, so siblings can be carriers, too. My husband and I are both carriers (obviously, since we have a CAH child!) ... and testing a few years ago showed that my sister IS a carrier, too. I would opt for the test for your sister-in-law .... although chances that she married a CAH carrier too, are slim.
