My pediatrician opted to not use this spray for my daughter as I mentioned below. She just preferred not to because she said she felt she was already on Cortef. We try to limit her steriod intake because of bone loss. Now I am not sure how much of the Flonase gets absorbed by the body but even a little was enough for me. But that was for my child. She presently inhales a steriod that is called Advair Diskus for he asthma. I don’t like her on that either. Asthma doctor and enod. felt it would not fluctuate her OHP levels ect. Well I begged to differ after I saw her results. She was so over suppressed for the first time in her life. I mean REAlly OVER. But it could have been a result of using that steriod and her being stressed dose so many times from so many fevers. We don’t know. So we drew her down from the Advair because she has been doing so great from the adenoids being removed. (we believe) No more sinus infections, no more fevers, no more stress dosing as much. SO I think it was a combination of all these things causing the oversuppr. Not sure but still believe the inhaled steroid added to it all. I feel she has enough going against her bone loss with just plain Cortef. I didn’t want to add to it even if it was just a little. Since we drew her down from the Advair tremendously, her labs showed WAY UNDER suppression now. So we have increased her Cortef once again.

Headaches may be a side effect from the Flonase. My mom takes it. Read it and see. Although the Florief could be the culprit too. Have you had your child’s bloodpressure checked lately? Good luck!
