aThe emergency letter is the best idea and have your doctor and specialist sign it and list their phone numbers on it. Teachers cannot, by law, give any child medication or shots in school.(New) They are not even allowed to keep aspirin or tylenol in the classroom. The school clinic also will not give aspirin, tylenol, or any medication without a doctor’s signature. A school will not let a volunteer give a shot to any child for insurance reasons. Best bet is to contact ems(give them the emergency letter in advance signed by your doctor ...they need doctor’s orders to give any shots) and carry the shot yourself & be available at all times. Many prayers.
