In the UK we have a ready mixed hydrocortisone for injection (Efcortesol) which has a shelf life of 2 years.  Why can’t they use this in the USA, if it is really only unavailable due to the shelf life of the medication? I was told an epi-pen couldn’t penetrate the muscle and inject the solution in the same way - both poor excuses, probably all down to cost really!  Would be great if we could persuade a manufacturer to take this on.
