Our daughter is due the mid of October.  I know exactly what you are talking about and I think that part of it for me anyway is a self protection kind of thing.  With our first daughter (our only for the next month or so ;-)  ) we were just in this naive blissful existence that nothing in the world would happen. . .and then we were wisked away to the nearest Children’s Hospital which is 4 hours away being told that we needed to pack as much as we could because no one knew how long we would be there. . . I think that I’m just looking at it with this new knowledge now that anything could happen so I’m prepared instead of blindsided like I was last time.  It was just so scarey. . .
