Hi All - Saw my endo today. I have been having problems finding the PAR brand of Dexamethasone.... since December - seems they don’t make it anymore. It’s all I’ve taken for the last 25 years (well - briefly tried Prednisone till it gave me suicidal thoughts). My endo wants me to try again the Roxane brand of Dex (last time it made me so dizzy I was bumping into things) - which I will try 3 or 4 pills - if it doesn’t work this time he said he would put me on Cortef (only because I mentioned it). He feels I’ve done so well on longer acting glucocorticoids that he hesitates to change things for me.

What I want to know is how much to take and when? I’m 5’2" and 125 lbs. I know most kids are on 3 times a day dosing - but how much would someone like me take? I currently take .5 of Dex (my endo just raised my dose from .375 because my 17OHP was 1100 and I was feeling lousy and breaking out.

Today was one of those days where I HATE CAH! I just want the crap to go away.
