The part that broke was the small tubing that went to her urethra. It snapped above the connector to the large tube that goes into the bag. It was taped to her leg. I had actually been to the ER the night before to have them retape it because it was getting twisted. It started yesterday with a small hole in the tube. Her uro said to try and cover the hole with tape, because they didn’t want to try to re-cath her, because of the swelling. Well, 20 min after I got off the phone with him, it broke. They ended up just taking it out. She had a FULL diaper this morning, so she seems to be urinating well without it. Their fear was with the swelling it would pool inside and cause infection. Her swelling has gone down tremendously! She is hardly even bruised this morning. Within a couple of days the bar between her legs should be removed. I know she will be glad to have that gone! Things are going well otherwise. She had a slight fever this morning. Nothing to be alarmed about. It was about 99.8. I went ahead and double dosed and gave her some mortin. Just to be on the safe side of things. She is sleeping now. So I will go and try to catch up on my laundry.
