cindyAngie,
Having CAH at birth and not being diagnosed till adulthood is what caused my husband’s short stature because they figure he went through puberty around six years old his growth plates sealed around that time and stunted his growth. They said he should have died shorthly after birth and don’t know why he didn’t ,his mother claims he was never sickly and had all the normal childhood illnesses, mind you she is a nurse and I don’t know why she never took him to the Dr. if he devolped hair at ix years old. They aren’t sure where this came from no one on either side of his family knew anything about it till he had a niece born with it and they rushed her to a childrens hospital in our area ,they later found out that my brother in law has a mild non-salt wasting form.About that time we were undergoing fertility testing and my husbands blood work came back so screwed up the urologist thought the lab had goofed. They were going to test everything again and I explained what I knew about my niece(which was very little back then) and the Dr. was ready to test him for CAH
