Jess, I’m sorry to hear about you and your mom, but you are not the same person as your mom and you have a right to support CARES if you choose.( We do live in America). You, by the same token, cannot change your mom, the same as she cannot change you. You are two separate people. Maybe you just need a time out for a while. My mom is absolutely insane sometimes, you can’t even imagine. She is your mom, though, hopefully you can support her from a distance somehow.
