hi crystal! i can’t imagine a child with worse electrolyte imbalances that my son with cah had at the time of diagnosis and he is just fine now at 8 months of age.  cah IS life threatening, but research suggests that these kids have a totally normal lifespan with proper treatment. does your friend’s child have other medical issues?? make very SURE the child is being treated at a reputable children’s hospital!!
