I agree with Cherry that surgery is a very personal decision for the parents to make along with their doctors. My twins, both SWCAH, had surgery at 13 months and you can’t even tell that they ever looked anything different. We did a lot of researching on beforehand and did a lot of praying and decided that having the surgery was the best decision for our kids.

If you are questioing the doctors, contact Kelly at CARES and see if they are recommended surgeons. She knows of the best in the nation and will direct you to them. Also, she can talk to you about the pros and cons of surgery.
