My stimulated values on the ACTH, showed 3x the normal range. My doctor thinks this is insignificant, not enough of a surge. Is this true?

Is a surge only treatable, when it’s 10x the normal value? This just seems so odd to me. I feel as though I’m stuck in a gray zone, since I’m experiencing clinical symptoms of too much androgens.
