JuliaWhat specifically concerns you? And the rage that Cindy talked about is not a given...my daughter never expressed rage, in fact she showed the exact opposite reaction to stress....she would withdraw and isolate. The fact is they don’t handle stress well. The early puberty thing and the size issue is right on...Chels was always off the charts size wise, but her growth was very erratic too....she would grow 3 inches in a short time span and then grow normally for a while and then grow again.
By six I would think you would most likely have seen at the very least the body odor issue, extra hair, or the acne. I could be wrong. I believe there are some people on this board who were not diagnosed until their teens. Another thing that tipped me off was her inability to heal like others. She takes forever to heal from anything (cuts, colds, bruises etc), but again I’m not sure that is a symptom all CAH’ers share.
Your best action is to voice your concerns to your pediatrician, and be very specific about what it is concerning you. It is probably not CAH. We parents can freak ourselves out about things so easily can’t we? It’s just cause we love our kids so much. Good Luck!
